Job summary

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Lakeside Program in Upper Pittsgrove, NJ. The role is onsite with a 2nd shift (Thu/Fri 2pm-10pm, Sat 11am-10pm) totaling 27 hours per week as a part-time position, focusing on supporting autistic and developmentally disabled individuals.

Responsibilities include implementing behavioral plans, assisting with daily living skills, attending appointments, and ensuring safe transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in the candidate’s legal name and current address; one year minimum driving experience.
• Minimum six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities: personal hygiene, social awareness, meal prep, money management, housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, teach daily living and functional skills for goal achievement.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior and intervene per Bancroft quality standards; complete paperwork and document regularly.
