Job summary

Bancroft in Glassboro, NJ is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Lakeside Program. This onsite role supports individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, helping them reach daily living goals and participate in community activities.

The 2nd shift (Sunday 11am-11pm; Monday-Wednesday 2pm-11pm) is full-time (40 hours) with a competitive wage of $19.61–$20.00 per hour and a full benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in candidate’s legal name and current address; one year minimum driving experience.
• Minimum six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Desire to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, social awareness, meal prep, money management, housekeeping).
• Provide personal care and supervision; teach daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals.
• accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior and provide intervention per Bancroft’s safety standards.
• Complete paperwork and maintain regular documentation; communicate with residents and families.
