Job summary

Amivie, LLC seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health, or substance use challenges in daily living, skill-building, and community integration. The DSP builds professional, nurturing relationships and supports individualized plans.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, documentation in the EHR, safe transportation, and medication administration after training, while upholding rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation.
• Must successfully pass background checks.
• TB health screening required.
• Must be proficient with technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion per the individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, feeding, etc.) based on individual needs.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Engage with individuals in their home and community.
• Uphold individual rights and privacy (HIPAA) at all times.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow company policies.
• Duties as assigned and mandated reporter if abuse/neglect is suspected.
• Administer prescribed medications after training.
