Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, individualized care to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and related needs. You will assist with daily living activities, transport for community participation, and document care in an electronic health record.

The role requires adherence to HIPAA, strong boundaries, and prompt reporting of any safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Background checks must be completed successfully.
• Health screening (TB) must be completed as required by state/programing.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goals per their individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, feeding, etc.) per needs.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete required documentation in the EHR timely.
• Engage with individuals in home and community settings.
• Uphold individual rights and HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professional boundaries.
• DSPs are mandated reporters for abuse, neglect or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications after training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert during all shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
