Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with activities of daily living, follow care plans, and support community involvement. You will document care in the EHR, coordinate with teams, and uphold HIPAA and privacy standards.

You will transport individuals safely, administer medications after training, and maintain professional boundaries. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and background health screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• TB health screening required (varying by state).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion per support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, meals) as needed.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Document care in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Engage with individuals in home and community.
• Uphold individual rights and HIPAA compliance.
• Remain awake and alert for all shifts.
• Administer prescribed medication after training.
