Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is seeking Sunrise Youth Leaders to work with students across school levels within the San Bernardino Unified School District. You will implement engaging activities, monitor safety, and model positive behavior in a dynamic, in-person setting on school sites.

The role emphasizes guidance, mentorship, and collaboration with a team to foster a safe, belonging-filled environment while promoting academic support and youth development outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for High School Sites).
• Must have at least 48 semester/72 quarter college units, College Degree or pass ESSA test.
• Experience working with children (volunteer work counts).
• Knowledge of youth development stages.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to plan and implement quality activities for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise youth in a safe environment.
• Valid State Driver License or California ID card.
• Must clear TB, Drug Screen and Fingerprint check.
• CPR & First Aid Certifications within 90 of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development.
• Effectively implement and administer services and activities for students.
• Ensure the safety of students and organize the program space during and after use.
• Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior and mentor youth in a safe environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, maintain professional conduct and community representation.
