Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is seeking Sunrise TK Youth Leaders to work with members in TK–Kindergarten (and sometimes 1st grade) at a school site under a SBUSD partnership. You will mentor youth, foster a safe, positive environment, and promote engagement in clubs’ five core elements.

Contracted position aligned with the school calendar; duties include guiding youth, planning activities, and ensuring safety and orderly program spaces.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 48 semester/72 quarter units or college degree required.
• Candidates 18 years or older.
• Experience working with children (volunteer counts).
• Knowledge of youth development stages.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to plan and implement quality activities for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise youth in a safe environment.
• Valid California ID or driver license.
• Must clear TB, Drug Screen and Fingerprint check.
• CPR & First Aid Certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success: create an environment that facilitates youth development.
• Outcomes: promote program participation and provide guidance and role modeling.
• Program Implementation: administer services and activities for students.
• Ensure safety of students during programs and activities.
• Keep program space organized and clean during and after use.
• Supervision of Youth: provide guidance, model positive behavior and a safe environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to school behavioral guidelines.
• Professionalism: participate in staff meetings and uphold ethical conduct.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook and policies.
• ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May participate in special programs/events.
• RELATIONSHIPS: communicate with Club staff, members, supervisor; external groups and parents.
