Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. in Cleveland seeks a seasoned employment litigation attorney to defend and prosecute a broad range of workplace-related claims. You will represent employers in court, before agencies, mediations, and arbitrations, advising on labor and employment law.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, 5+ years of litigation experience, and active Ohio bar admission or eligibility.

This position willsitin ourCleveland location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims andagencycharges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• JD from an ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred.
• ActiveOhio bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understandingofcurrent court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along withabilityto work independently on various projects.

For Cleveland, the expected salary range for this position is between $180,00 and $217,500. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
