Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD) seeks a dedicated Business Service Representative to connect local employers with Career Center resources and drive job placements in Roxbury.

You will coordinate job orders, referrals and services, expanding partnerships with employers and community organizations. The role requires strong customer service, collaboration with staff, and knowledge of workforce programs (WIOA).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of customer service or related experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in human services, public administration, business management or related field preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years in a career center or related services with businesses preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a business services team.
• Knowledge of WIOA regulations and related programs preferred.
• Able to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in local strategic planning for employer-driven programs, training and services in the region.
• Contact employers to assess needs and share Career Center services.
• Provide services to businesses including job orders, referrals, recruitments, job fairs and labor market information.
• Ensure staff are aware of employers' needs and job order specifications.
• Collaborate with team to place Career Center customers in open positions.
• Coordinate group presentations to employers and job fairs.
• Plan events to provide large-scale labor exchange opportunities for employers and job seekers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
