We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our thriving HR Consulting team. This is a remote position with up to 25% travel required to support a key client. We are seeking candidates based on the West Coast who can work PST hours to support our client’s needs.Position Overview:
This role is ideal for an HR professional with a strong background in employee relations and employee relations investigations. Experience providing HR support in the government contracting industry is highly desirable. The ideal candidate has previously worked in an Employee Relations Specialist, HR Business Partner, or HR Generalist capacity, with a primary focus on handling employee relations matters, investigations, and policy enforcement.Key Responsibilities:- Employee Relations & Investigations: Lead and conduct thorough employee relations investigations, including gathering and analyzing evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and documenting findings in compliance with best practices and legal standards.
- Company Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance within client organizations, addressing legislative changes and industry-specific requirements.
- Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Understand client needs and provide tailored HR solutions and proactive advice.
- HR Strategy and Policy Development: Leverage deep knowledge of HR best practices and regulations to help clients implement effective HR strategies and policies aligned with their organizational goals.
- Conflict Resolution: Provide expert guidance to resolve complex employee relations issues, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, navigating sensitive matters with professionalism.
- Project Management: Lead and contribute to HR projects, including restructuring, performance management, talent acquisition, and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while advising clients on best practices to minimize risk.
- HR Coordinator Tasks: Depending on client size, oversee administrative HR duties to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:- 7-10 Years of HR Experience: Demonstrated success across diverse HR functions, with a specialization in employee relations and employee relations investigations.
- Government Contracting Industry Expertise: Experience providing HR support within the government contracting industry is highly desirable.
- Employee Relations Experience: Strong track record in handling employee complaints, investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace policies.
- Independent Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Educational Background: BA/BS in Human Resources or a related field is required, providing a strong academic foundation in HR principles.
- Certification Preferred: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred, showcasing commitment to professional development.
- Multi-Entity Experience: Experience supporting multiple businesses or entities is a plus.
- Remote Work Experience: Previous experience working in a remote work setting is required, as this position is a remote/work-from-home role.
Compensation and Benefits:- Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
