Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Employee Relations Partner to deliver tactical ER guidance to managers and staff and to conduct investigations in line with policy and law.

You will support disciplinary actions, terminations, and ensure compliance across regulations while analyzing data to identify trend areas for proactive resolution. Collaborating with Operational Management, HRBPs, Legal, and COEs, you will interpret policies, mitigate legal risk, and maintain confidential case information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or, additional four years of required experience.
• Five years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (intermediate).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (intermediate).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations. Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Manage employee relations matters by providing supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/ Labor Relations/Legal Teams and other SMEs to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality Human Resources support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
• Travel as needed to company sites within supported region.
