Austin Commercial seeks mid-level Project Engineers to join our North Texas team and support on-site construction efforts in Houston, TX. This role emphasizes coordination with subcontractors, architects, and field staff to meet schedules and ensure submittals are accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management/science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Internship experience with a construction company strongly preferred
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year)
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin Commercial cannot sponsor visas

Responsibilities

• Notifies subcontractors of commencement dates; solicits delivery schedules from suppliers and expedites deliveries to avoid delays
• Prepares quantity take-offs for proposed changes
• Oversees submittal schedule and logs; coordinates submissions with subcontractors, architects and superintendents
• Prepares reports such as material logs, submittal logs, RFIs, drawing logs and long-lead items
• Assists in verification of monthly subcontractor payment requests
• May assist in locating suppliers and reviewing invoices for quantities, quality, and price
