Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Employee Health team. You will oversee onboarding health requirements, vaccine tracking, and respirator fit testing while upholding clinical and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes patient safety, data accuracy, and collaboration with clinicians, IT, and risk management to drive quality care and wellbeing for employees.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in NC (or multi-state compact) is required.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

• Oversees employee health on boarding requirements and maintains current employee health files.
• Monitors annual PPD's, vaccines, and respirator fittings.
• Tracks work related illnesses, injury and blood borne pathogen exposures.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Other duties as requested

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).

Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
