Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery team. You will perform assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and document care to support safe, family-centered perinatal services.

Join a team that handles 350–400 deliveries per year; 7pm-7am night shifts, rotating weekends, and a $20,000 commitment bonus. NC RN license, 1-3 years Women's Services experience preferred, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state license).
• 1-3 years of Women's Services and Labor and Delivery experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

More about our team Our Women's Services team is a close-knit, collaborative group that provides care across the full continuum of women's health, including Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, and newborn care.

The department is committed to delivering safe, family-centered care while creating a positive and memorable experience for patients and their loved ones.

The unit features 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 1 dedicated OR suite, 2 NICU beds, and 15 private antepartum/postpartum rooms, supporting approximately 350-400 deliveries each year.

What we're looking for
