Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Employee Health team. You will lead onboarding health requirements, maintain files, and help safeguard staff well-being.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, safety, and collaboration across departments. You’ll assess vaccines, PPDs, respirator fit testing and contribute to policies, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or compact).
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Must show critical thinking and decisive judgment and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under stress and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Oversees employee health onboarding and maintains current employee health files.
• Monitors annual PPD's, vaccines, and respirator fittings.
• Tracks work related illnesses, injury and blood borne pathogen exposures.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Other duties as requested

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

• Applicants should have a current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
• Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
