Job summary

Brown & Brown in Roseland, NJ is seeking an Employee Benefits Assistant to support the Employee Benefits department with administration, clerical tasks, and client service. You will manage communications, coordinate meetings, prepare documents, and maintain accurate records while upholding confidentiality.

Required is a NJ Life, Health & Accident Producer License or ability to obtain within 90 days; a relevant college degree is preferred and strong organizational and communication skills are

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey Life, Health & Accident Producer License or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case/records management.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits products and contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct calls and respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Manage correspondence including emails, letters, and packages.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, memos and other documents.
  • Maintain filing systems and data in agency systems/databases.
  • Provide administrative support and coordinate with departments and partners.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and support compliance reviews.
