Job summary

The Standard seeks a dedicated claims liaison to support policyholders, employers, and employees on life, disability, and leave-related inquiries. You will independently manage claim processes, coordinate death claims, and assist employees with filing claims while ensuring premium administration and contract interpretation.

Collaborating with HR and Benefits, you’ll address escalations and deliver reporting to improve customer experience and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in leave management, STD/LTD, and group life insurance.
• Experience managing claims and resolving customer inquiries.
• Experience with Oracle or Benefits Administration systems.
• Strong knowledge of benefit contracts and premium administration.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Strong verbal communication with empathy and customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience coordinating projects across cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting group life, disability and leave programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for policyholders, employers, and employees on claims and coverage inquiries.
• Administer life, disability, and leave claims, including paid parental leave and death claims.
• Resolve escalations related to claims, billing, and contract interpretation.
• Partner with HR and Benefits teams across multiple locations.
• Provide reporting on claims status, outstanding items, and Evidence of Insurability.
