Job summary

The Standard in Memphis, TN is seeking a Claims Liaison to interface with policyholders, employers, and employees on life, disability, and leave claims. You will independently manage claim processes, coordinate death claims, and assist with filing while ensuring accurate premium administration and contract interpretation.

You’ll partner with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams, provide claims reporting and Evidence of Insurability tracking, and contribute to process improvements that support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and life insurance (employer, broker, or carrier).
• Experience managing claims processes and resolving complex customer inquiries.
• Strong knowledge of benefit contract interpretation and premium administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and business units.
• Strong verbal communication skills with empathy and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for policyholders, employers, and employees on claims and coverage inquiries
• Administer life, disability, and leave claims, including coordination of death claims
• Resolve escalations related to claims, billing, and contract interpretation
• Partner with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams across multiple locations
• Provide reporting on claims status, outstanding items, and Evidence of Insurability
