Boston University is seeking an Employee Assistance Counselor within the Faculty & Staff Assistance Office to provide confidential clinical services, crisis support, and program development across BU's campuses with some remote work.

The role involves training staff on EAP utilization, building partnerships with HR, Occupational Health, and external providers, and ensuring ethical documentation and confidentiality. A master's degree and state licensure are required, with 3–5 years of experience.

Formación

• Master’s degree and current licensure as a mental health professional.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of substance use, psychiatric illness, risk assessment, interpersonal violence, and workplace conflict.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; public speaking and trainings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EDBMS.
• Ability to provide some services before 9 am and after 5 pm.
• Employee assistance experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides confidential clinical services to individuals, couples, and groups including assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, case monitoring, and referrals.
• Creates and delivers trainings and workshops on effective utilization of EAP services, behavioral health, emotional well-being, work-life, and other EAP topics.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders; identifies community resources and referral networks.
• Maintains timely case documentation and program statistics; adheres to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
