Job summary

Asbury/Thrivewell Tech seeks a Resident Technology Support Specialist to provide on-site, personalized tech help for residents. You will troubleshoot devices, set up computers, smartphones, tablets, Wi‑Fi, printers, and video conferencing, and guide users with calm, clear instructions.

The role emphasizes tech education, group workshops, documenting requests, and escalating complex issues. A high school diploma is required; an associate IT degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows and macOS in home and community settings.
• Familiarity with consumer and business tech including smartphones, tablets and home networking.
• Strong customer service and ability to explain technology clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site personalized technology support for residents and troubleshoot devices.
• Set up devices, software, email, and video conferencing tools.
• Educate residents on cybersecurity, online safety, and best practices for technology use.
• Deliver technology orientation and support for new residents.
• Document service requests and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Communicate technical information in a clear, patient manner.
• Conduct occasional group technology trainings and workshops.
