Qualifications

• Accurately enter and interpret data.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and HIPAA basics.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or by phone with respect and empathy.
• Collects demographic, payer, financial, medical information, and IDs to schedule or pre-register/register.
• Obtains authorizations and collects payments when required.
• Verifies third party payer information via phone or web.
• Directs patients to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Documents activities in the patient registration system and QA notes.
