Legalstream is seeking a Collections Representative to manage overdue accounts and recover debts. You will contact customers by phone, email, or mail to discuss unpaid bills and negotiate feasible payment plans while maintaining accurate records in the company database.

The role emphasizes compliance with FDCPA and related laws, along with strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills. On-site work in our Kansas operations is expected.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in collections, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in using computer software and databases.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations such as the FDCPA is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Contact customers by phone, email, or mail to discuss overdue accounts and arrange payment.
• Negotiate payment plans while ensuring timely debt recovery.
• Update and maintain accurate records of all interactions and accounts in the system.
• Research accounts to understand non-payment reasons and determine next steps.
• Collaborate with team members on-site to resolve issues and ensure accurate information.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and company policies (FDCPA).
• Provide professional, empathetic customer service during interactions.
• Monitor account statuses and take appropriate action as needed.
