The role is a developmental leadership assignment designed to prepare associates for potential Store Manager opportunities within Walmart US store operations.

The assignment lasts up to 12–18 months, with mobility within the assigned region for Store Manager applications and possible placement based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management, or financial management.
• 2 years' management experience in retail, operations, or distribution.
• Strong supervisory and staff development abilities.
• 2 years' general management experience with financial accountability.
• Firearms CBC or state eligibility if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the store's management team and establish store objectives.
• Monitor budgets, analyze reports, and manage expenditures.
• Drive customer experience and community engagement in store operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and maintain asset protection and safety controls.
• Plan staffing, talent pipelines, and succession for Store Manager potential.
