Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Antelope, CA is seeking an Emerging Store Manager (ESM), a developmental leadership role designed to prepare associates for Store Manager opportunities within Walmart US store operations.

The ESM will train across merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience and community engagement, with a 12–18 month assignment and mobility within the region for Store Manager placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business, retail or related field or 2+ years in a management role.
• Experience supervising and developing staff in a retail environment.
• Willingness to relocate within the assigned region for Store Manager placement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading store management to achieve budgeted goals and performance metrics.
• Develop staffing plans and succession to support store goals.
• Promote customer experience, community engagement, and merchandising standards.
• Monitor operations, safety, asset protection, and compliance with company policies.
