Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) to train across store operations, including merchandising, leadership, finance, and customer experience. This developmental role lasts 12 to 18 months with mobility within the region for future Store Manager opportunities.

The trainer will learn to manage budgets, forecast staffing, and lead associates, while supporting community engagement and adherence to Walmart policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business, or related field and 2+ years in a retail leadership role.
• Experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
• Financial accountability and budget awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store management team; set objectives and monitor performance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and talent pipelines across regions.
• Analyze P&L, budgets, and sales trends to drive profitability.
• Promote customer experience, compliance, and operating standards.
• Engage with community outreach and store initiatives; support ESG goals.
