Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Sykesville, MD is seeking an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) to develop across store operations and leadership tracks.

This developmental role trains in merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement with the aim of preparing for Store Manager opportunities within Walmart US store operations. The assignment lasts up to 12–18 months with mobility within the region and exposure to budgeting, staffing, and community programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management, financial management and 2 years' experience in a management role within a retail, operations, or distribution environment, with responsibility for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors, managing workloads, and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
• 4 years' experience in a management role within a retail, operations, or distribution environment, with responsibility for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors, managing workloads, and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
• 2 years' general management experience, including responsibility for financial accountability.
