Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Front-Line Manager in Training in King of Prussia, PA. This six-week development program prepares you for leadership within Service Operations, covering inventory management, cosmetics/mechanical repair, and cross-functional teamwork.

Upon completion, you will advance to a leadership role such as Flow Mechanical Manager or Service Manager. The package includes competitive pay ($60,000–$105,100 annually), potential bonus and equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage teams to achieve operational goals.
• Strong data interpretation and record accuracy for process compliance.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with associates and customers.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid driver's license and flexibility to work in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, with occasional travel.

• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Complete CarMax’s Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance.
• Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
