Job summary

CarMax is offering a Front-Line Manager in Training program in Frederick, Maryland. The six-week development track readies you for leadership in Service Operations, covering inventory, cosmetic/mechanical repair, and end-to-end production processes.

Upon completion, you’ll move into a Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Flow Supply Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager role. You’ll gain hands-on leadership experience, partner with cross-functional teams, and develop skills

Qualifications

• Leads teams to achieve operational goals.
• Interprets data and ensures process compliance.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and customers.
• Proficient with common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid Driver’s License; comfortable in varied environments and weather.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehension of training content throughout the program.
• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Complete CarMax's Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance.
• Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
