Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Front-Line Manager in Training in Richmond, Texas. The six-week program prepares you for leadership within Service Operations, covering inventory management, repairs, and operational processes. Upon completion you advance into a management role such as Flow Mechanical, Flow Cosmetic, or Service Manager.

Eligible candidates will develop leadership skills, learn end-to-end production workflows, and support team performance while embodying CarMax values and safety obligations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage teams to achieve operational goals.
• Strong data interpretation and record accuracy for process compliance.
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with associates and customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehension of training content throughout the program.
• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Complete CarMax’s Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role and manage associates.
• Responsible for EH&S program for department and/or location including self-inspections, waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
