Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work closely with veterinarians to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.

The ideal candidate has a veterinary technician credential (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state and at least 1 year of experience, preferably in emergency or specialty medicine.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; able to support colleagues and patients.
• Ability to stand for long hours, lift up to 25 kg with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients, provide nursing care and emotional support.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform procedures such as IV placement, blood draws, and sample collection.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to plan and deliver care.
• Maintain clear communication and ensure smooth care flow.
