VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting, collaborating with doctors and VEGgies to deliver gold-standard care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.\nAssociate degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT).
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty is preferred.
• Proficient with practice management software and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and composure under pressure; able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Able to stand for long periods, kneel, and work on the floor; flexible to night, weekend, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to pets and families.
• Administer meds, IVs, transfusions, and monitoring per protocol.
• Support care plans and communicate effectively with teammates and pet guardians.
• Participate in CPR and emergency procedures as part of the RECOVER program.
