Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line team. You will perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, providing compassionate support to pets and their families during emergencies.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in veterinary tech, AVMA-accredited training, and valid credentials (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT). Expect a fast-paced environment, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative doctor-led team.

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program preferred
• 1+ years experience in veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Credentialed as CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT in the state of VEG practice
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, lift up to 25 kg (40 kg with assistance)
• Strong communication and calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in emergencies
• Triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Assist with meds, IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions and related procedures
• Collaborate with doctors to plan and deliver care
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as trained
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubes placement
• Work in fast-paced environment with a patient- and family-centered approach
