Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Clifton, New Jersey, is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 hospital team. You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, and critical care alongside doctors and a dedicated team, delivering gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families.

You’ll handle diagnostics, monitoring, and complex nursing tasks while maintaining composure in high-stress moments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited degree preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state is required.
• At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience; emergency experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg; availability nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and active treatments across emergency cases.
• Perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing as needed.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents to ensure smooth care.
