Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Paramus, NJ seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced ER team. You will provide high-level nursing care, triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care support for a wide range of emergencies, while offering compassionate care to pets and their families.

Credentials as a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT are required, with 1+ year of experience. The role involves working nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic, collaborative hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology (AVMA accredited) preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients alongside doctors and the care team.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during emergencies.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing as needed.
• Support diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain smooth patient flow and care.
