Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Millburn, NJ is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You’ll work with doctors, provide triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering compassionate care to pets and their families.

You must be a AVMA-accredited credentialed tech, with at least 1 year of ER or specialty experience, ready to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA degree preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the VEG state practice required.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; ER or specialty preferred.
• Proficient with practice management software and EMR systems.
• Calm under pressure with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support, and family communication.
• Handle IVs, CRIs, blood products and advanced procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth care flow.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and procedures.
• Adapt to fast-paced ER environment with compassion.
