Job summary

VEG is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency care team in Tennessee. You will handle a wide range of emergencies, from triage to intensive care, working closely with veterinarians and staff to deliver compassionate, gold-standard care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology (AVMA‑accredited preferred).
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the state of practice.
• 1+ year in veterinary tech; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Proficient with practice management software and EMR systems.
• Able to stand long hours, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage emergency cases with doctors and team.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Administer meds, monitoring, and advanced treatments (IVs, transfusions).
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection.
• Support care plans and communicate with the team to ensure smooth care flow.
