VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You’ll handle cases from triage through critical care, collaborating with doctors to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for pets and their caregivers.

Applicants should be AVMA-accredited graduates with CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentials, at least 1 year of experience, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment. Extensive learning and mentorship opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR software familiarity.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg; able to assist up to 40 kg with help.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform venipuncture, IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and other technical tasks.
• Communicate clearly with team and help shape care plans to keep flow steady.
• Perform CPR and other life-saving interventions as needed.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Assist with anesthesia for fragile patients and use advanced tools as needed.
