Job summary

VEG is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline ER team. You will provide compassionate, high‑quality care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing for a wide range of cases including exotic patients.

You will work with doctors and experienced VEG teams to deliver gold-standard care. You should be credentialed as a veterinary technician with at least 1 year of ER or specialty experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT) in VEG state; VTS in ECC/anaesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• Excellent communication; calm under pressure; team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from triage to discharge in emergencies.
• Assist doctors and nurses in treatments, diagnostics, monitoring, and anesthesia.
• Administer meds, monitor patient response, and support critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to care plans and workflow.
• Perform CPR and other critical procedures when needed.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Utilize advanced techniques in your toolkit (IVs, CRIs, blood products).
• Ensure safety and compassionate care for patients and clients.
