VEG is seeking Veterinary Nursing Shift Leads to keep shifts running smoothly, ensuring top-tier patient care and empowered VEGgies. You’ll guide huddles, assign roles, and coach on the floor with empathy and clear communication.

As a CVT/RVT/LVMT or VEG credentialing candidate, you’ll manage workflow, support team wellbeing, and partner with hospital leadership on coverage. This on-site role offers growth, learning, and a collaborative, fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential or VEG Credentialing Support Program preferred.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician or assistant role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsabilités

• Keep pulse on patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs.
• Manage daily workflow and pivot during emergencies.
• Ensure shift roles are clear and adapted as needed.
• Assist on the floor when help is needed and model calm under pressure.
• Lead shift transitions, huddles, and end-of-day wrap-ups.
• Communicate clearly and elevate key issues to leadership.
