Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the Denver area. You will work on the front lines of critical care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and monitoring, collaborating with doctors and the team to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families.

You will join a fast-paced ER team, available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited program required or strongly preferred.
• CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the state of VEG location is required.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; ER or specialty preferred.
• Able to stand long hours and lift up to 25 kg (40 kg with assistance).
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Tend to patients and support families during emergencies.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support.
• Administer medications, IVs, CRIs, and transfusions as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors to maintain smooth care flow.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection.
• Support anesthesia and advanced techniques as required.
