Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Boulder, CO seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (per diem) to join our ER team. You will deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their owners in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll be involved in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while collaborating with doctors and VEG teammates to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) required; VTS in ECC or anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR/PM software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage through discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and catheter/tube placements.
• Maintain clear communication with team and contribute to care plans.
