Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team in Boulder, Colorado. You will work on a wide range of emergencies, collaborating with our doctors and team to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care.

You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, continually growing your skills and helping pets and their families in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• AVMA-accredited program degree strongly preferred.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to lend a hand to support those around you.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support during emergencies.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and monitoring from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to plan and maintain care flow.
• Perform CPR and manage equipment during urgent cases.
• Utilize advanced techniques and tools as required.
