Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, supporting doctors and providing compassionate care for pets and their owners in high-stress moments.

Ideal candidates are CVTs with AVMA-accredited education, 1+ year of veterinary tech experience (emergency preferred), and a team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology strongly preferred
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state; VTS in ECC/anesthesia is a plus
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat emergency cases; collaborate with doctors and team
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support
• Handle anesthesia and monitoring; assist with advanced procedures
• Perform diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection
• Maintain calm, compassionate presence for pet parents
