Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You’ll provide high-quality nursing care, triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care for pets and their families.

You are an AVMA-accredited CVT/RVT/LVMT with 1+ year in veterinary tech, able to lift 25 kg, work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited degree preferred.
• State-credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) required.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg; willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with triage, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Handle medications, monitoring equipment, and IVs/CRIs, among others.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and contribute to care planning.
• Perform CPR and assist with advanced procedures as trained; support imaging and sample handling.
