Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work alongside doctors to provide gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care in fast-paced environments, handling triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice; VTS in ECC or anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software/EMR.
• Excellent communicator, calm under pressure; able to lift up to 25 kg; standing for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage through discharge.
• Deliver treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure gold-standard care.
• Assist with CPR and advanced procedures as needed.
• Operate diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing procedures.
