Job summary

Upstate Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Care in Greenville, SC seeks a part-time Veterinary Client Service Representative to welcome clients, manage check-in/check-out, and schedule appointments with empathy and accuracy.

You will coordinate lobby flow, answer a multi-line phone system, assist with payments, and support veterinarians and technicians to ensure a smooth, compassionate client experience during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience; medical or veterinary preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced emergency hospital.
• Compassionate, professional approach when assisting anxious or grieving clients.
• Fluent English speaking and reading; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and assist with check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
• Coordinate lobby flow and maintain an organized, positive client experience.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate team members.
• Promptly communicate emergency calls and relevant information to triage staff.
• Guide clients through sensitive processes, including euthanasia paperwork, with compassion.
• Assist with payment discussions and explain available payment options within hospital procedures.
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, chart maintenance, filing, and mail processing.
• Provide general hospital information and directions to other locations when needed.
• Support veterinarians, technicians, and front desk staff with daily workflow.
