Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. This full-time night shift (7p–7:30a) involves direct patient care, collaboration with physicians, and adherence to EMTALA constraints to ensure safe outcomes in a high-acuity ED setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certificate within 12 months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nurses.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document results.
