Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is hiring for a Registered Nurse in Emergency Services for the night shift (7p–7:30a) at 500 W Court St, Kankakee, IL.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in Telemetry using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to the physician.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and comply with EMTALA reporting requirements.
