Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department.

You will deliver direct patient care in Telemetry during the night shift (7p–7:30a) and guide patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and competitive compensation with a wide benefits package, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision coverage, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in Telemetry following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and supervise patient/family teaching, while coordinating with ED physicians.
