Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. You will provide direct patient care in Telemetry, guide patient and family teaching, and coordinate with physicians on patient status during night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on our Kankakee campus.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS/ALS/PALS or ENPC certificates, and ideally a BSN with CEN certification. We offer robust benefits and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nurses.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
